PHOTO-REALISTIC EVEREST™ II PRINTING
The Rimage DLN5200 and DL5200 feature full-color Everest II offset-quality printing. This
advanced technology reproduces colors, text, and graphic images at high resolution. In
addition, the surface print is virtually “accident proof”—impervious to damage from
scratching, moisture, chemicals and UV exposure. In other words, you’ll destroy the disc
itself before you’ll damage the disc graphics.
Thermal re-transfer is a method of disc surface printing where the entire label image is first
transferred to a clear transfer ribbon, one color at a time. The finished image is then re-
transferred to the disc. The re-transfer process allows label designers to do things
previously unattainable with on-demand printing, such as edge to edge printing and
printing on the hub of the disc. The effect is a label to rival one produced by silk-screen or
offset methods, yet can be printed on-demand.
SMALLEST FOOTPRINT IN ITS CLASS
Rimage has shrunk the footprint of professional CD/DVD publishing by eliminating the
need for an external PC, creating a solution that easily fits on a desk or table in any
workspace. The Rimage DLN5200 footprint is only 10” x 23.5”. No other system with this
kind of professional printing capability and compute power comes close - which makes
DiscLab ideal for office, OEM or retail environments. Specialized OEM applications, such
as film-to-CD processing, in-store audio-cd creation, video-DVD automation, digital
Medical Imaging and Electronic Medical Records are also under development with our
partners.
INNOVATIVE SOLUTION - NETWORK ATTACHED PUBLISHING
The Rimage DLN5200 includes a built-in host PC, enabling its operation as a stand-alone
Network Appliance. The built-in host PC is directly accessible in three different ways:
(1) Remote Desktop Access
(2) Network operation via the included Rimage Producer Software Suite
(3) Direct connection of monitor, mouse and keyboard
Remote Desktop Access is native to Windows XP and provides secure access to the
DLN5200 embedded host PC over any network connection to the System Administrator.
Remote Desktop provides full system access over a network. This means, for example, the
System Administrator can remotely connect to any DLN5200 on the network and set up
options or authorize software with the Rimage service department.
